Frequently Asked Questions
How does the SunPower news impact Earthlight Technologies?
Earthlight Technologies operates independently from SunPower. As a family-owned and founder-led business since 2008, we are one of the leading companies in the solar installation and service industry. We remain committed to our customers and their solar solutions.
With SunPower going out of business, what happens to my warranty?
The status of SunPower’s warranties is currently uncertain. However, Earthlight Technologies’ workmanship warranty will remain effective, and we will continue to support you throughout the 25-year lifespan of your solar system. The Maxeon solar panels and Enphase inverter technology provided by SunPower are known for their high quality and durability. And on Aug. 6, Enphase announced that they will honor the terms of the product warranty for their microinverters which are used in SunPower solar systems. Read Enphase’s statement here, Enphase Warranty Announcement.
I have Waaree Solar Panels. Will I be affected by the SunPower bankruptcy?
If you have SunPower U-Series panels manufactured by Waaree, they are covered by both SunPower’s product and power warranty and Earthlight’s workmanship warranty. While Earthlight’s warranty will remain in place, the status of SunPower’s warranty coverage is currently unclear. We are working diligently to resolve this matter for our customers.
I use SunPower Monitoring (or PVS Monitoring). What will happen to my production monitoring?
The resolution of SunPower’s monitoring obligations is still pending through the bankruptcy process. We are actively seeking a solution and will update you as soon as more information becomes available.
Why is it taking so long to get a response about the SunPower bankruptcy?
Given the volume of inquiries related to the SunPower bankruptcy, our response times may be longer than usual. We appreciate your patience and understanding as we work to address each concern promptly.
Thank you for your patience and continued support.
